How to register your insurance agency on BimaStack (agents too)

BimaStack gives your agency one place to quote every insurer you represent, sell from your own branded storefront, take payment by M-Pesa, and run your policies, renewals, commissions and claims. This guide takes you from no account to a registered agency. It takes about ten minutes, and independent agents register the same way: as an agency of one.

   Create your account

   Enter your name, your work email and a password of at least 12 characters. If your company uses Google or Microsoft, you can sign up with that instead.

   Confirm your email address

   We send you a link. Open it to confirm the address is yours, then sign in. Check your spam folder if it hasn’t arrived within a few minutes.

   Register your agency

   Choose Agency, then give its name as your clients know it, its registered legal name, and a short name. The short name appears in links and can never change, so choose carefully. Add your licence number and pick your web address, or leave it empty and we make one from your name.

   We review it within 2 business days

   Our team checks every organisation before it goes live. You become its owner straight away, and we email you as soon as it’s approved. Your 7-day free trial starts then.

   Set up and start selling

   Sign in and pick your agency from the organisation picker. Invite your colleagues, connect with the insurers you represent, add your logo, and publish your storefront.

After approval: your first day

• Invite your team. Give each person a role: owner, administrator, agent or viewer, or a role of your own with exactly the permissions you choose.
• Connect with your insurers. An agreement with each insurer you represent lets you quote and sell its products, with your commission rate on each class.
• Bring your existing book. Import your current policies, clients, commissions and claims from a spreadsheet, so renewals and reports start from day one.
• Brand your storefront. Upload your logo, and your clients get quotes from every insurer you represent at your own web address.

Independent agents

If you sell on your own, register yourself as an agency, using your own name or trading name. You get everything an agency gets: your storefront, every insurer you have an agreement with priced side by side, your commission ledger and your clients in one place. The Basic plan is built for exactly this.

What does it cost?

Can I move my agency’s data in?

Yes. Policies, clients, claims, leads and commission statements can each be imported from a spreadsheet, checked row by row before anything is recorded.

What if my registration is turned down?

We email you the reason. Correct the details and apply again; your web address is released so you can use it again.
